Health promotion: An effective tool for global health - ProQuest

We are aware that people nowadays are more concerned with making the improvements and changes in their lifestyle to improve their overall health. According to the authors of this article, they are  focusing on various strategies and activities , which are aiming at  community well-being in a positive way  and enhancing their health outcomes, by adopting the holistic approach by empowering individuals. To understand this more , the author also throws light on the international conference held on health promotion 1986 which was partnered by WHO and Canada , Ottawa and lead to form Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion, who defined the health promotion as the process of enabling people to increase the control over and to improve their health . What I learnt from this article is that health promotion has become an important instrument in response to the problems posed by evolving circumstances , including changes in the population and epidemiology , urbanization, climate change , and food insecurity

To achieve the goal of Health promotion , articles also compiles various approaches like community participation, empowerment of individuals, education, policies, behavior change, environmental and structural change, even communication is the key , and by the combination of these approaches , what I can conclude is it will effectively help in promoting health , prevent the disease and improve the person’s overall well-being .

Dimensions of wellness: Change your habits, change your life - PMC (uws.edu.au)

This Article is written by Debbie whose main focuses was to make us understand on  the true aspect of wellness which covers a broad range of integration of mental, physical, and spiritual, intellectual, occupational, emotional well-being .This article drags me towards the learning’s of ,how to live by adopting the habits which affects us positively in the long run. According to the author, Wellness is a lifestyle and a personalized approach to living life in a way and more about enjoying life to the fullest . all the components of wellness are inter-related, overlapping and attention must be given to all to achieve the balance and overall wellness for the high quality of living  which will change one's life .

I got really influenced by the way author says, “The past is the history: the present and future lie in the choices you make today. Don’t worry about getting it perfect; just get it going, and become the best kind of person you can be.”

So there are instances when transformation is gradual. Even if it sometimes takes multiple attempts and failures, the efforts are definitely valuable for continuous improvement, and one success frequently leads to another.
